KLCC Walk (Self Guided), Kuala Lumpur

The city center is one of the most famous parts of Kuala Lumpur and on the top of the to-do lists of many visitors. Within this 100-acre (40-hectare) site, often referred to as a city within a city is the tallest twin building in the world, a beautiful park and a shopping mall. At 1, 483 feet (452 meters) above street level, Petronas Towers dominates the skyline for miles around.

Head up to the Skybridge for spectacular views of the city. This walkway connects the two buildings and is the world's highest 2-story bridge. At the base of the colossal skyscraper is Suria KLCC, one of Malaysia's most prominent shopping malls. With hundreds of stores and six floors to explore, it is a shopper's paradise.

For some quiet moments of relaxation, go over to KLCC Park, an attractive tropical landscape with lush green lawns, palm trees, footpaths, sculptures, a children's playground and a wading pool. The highlight of this expansive area is Lake Symphony. Within this large manmade body of water are fountains that can shoot sprays up to a height of 137 feet (42 meters). Enjoy the daily water shows, which take place at noon and in the evenings. At night, party into the small hours in the clubs and pubs that are within a short walking distance of the city center.
