Fashion District Shopping Walk (Self Guided), Los Angeles

Check out cool fashions, beautiful fabrics and bargains galore at downtown LA's Fashion District. Spanning more than 90 blocks, this hip enclave encompasses hundreds of shops, stores and trade-only designer showrooms and wholesale businesses. This is an important business and creative hub for many importers and distributors of fashion from all over the world.

Wholesalers, fashion students, Hollywood stylists and retail shoppers all flock to the area to pound the pavement and rummage through the racks. Whether you are interested in filling up your shopping bags or simply want to purchase a single item, there's no need to pay the ticket price for everything, because in the Fashion District, everybody haggles. The prices can be very budget friendly and the diversity of goods on offer is staggering.

Conveniently, many stores and products are grouped together, making them easier to find. For example, kid's wear is located along 12th Street and Pico Boulevard, while menswear can be found along Main Street, Santee Street and Los Angeles Street.

One of the most popular destinations for the public is Santee Alley. It covers two blocks and features more than 150 stores selling apparel, footwear, cosmetics, accessories and much more. It is loud, lively and colorful, with an almost festival-like atmosphere. Now, shopping is hungry and thirsty business, and the Fashion District also boasts lots of different dining options.
