Taking in the Lovely Little City of Rzeszow, Poland, Rzeszow, Poland
Sometimes the only reason you need to visit a place is that it seems picturesque. That mindset and a single photo of Rzeszow were what drew me to this city in southeastern Poland, close to the border with the Ukraine. It can be hard to find places to visit in Poland after you’ve seen the main ones like Warsaw and Krakow, but I’ve had plenty of practice by now. Sometimes you’re unsure whether a place will be worth your time, but I can safely say that to visit Rzeszow was worth the trip. Not only is this small city more attractive than you might realise, but also quite lively, especially when I was there.
With my visit to Rzeszow, there was nowhere else I planned on starting with than the local City Hall. After all, it was a photo of the striking City Hall that first caught my eye. While its history stretches back centuries to 1591, this building today looks incredibly fresh-faced with its mixture of neo-gothic and renaissance revival styles. That’s because it has only been a bit over 100 years since its most recent remodel. And while it’s not possible to visit inside as a tourist, being able to admire it from the square is definitely good enough. ......
