There is also an ongoing future plan to transform Seletar into one of Singapore’s regional centers, so you may want to check it out before the site evolves from its original charm too soon!

To get into the first site in this guide, you may ride to Sengkang MRT and transfer to the LRT system. Disembarking at Thanggam LRT, Jalan Kayu is just a short 8-minute walk.

Jalan Kayu has been identified as one of Singapore’s key identity nodes by Urban Redevelopment Authority, with plan to enhance its walkway while preserving its old-world charm.

The two-lane road is famed for its many great eateries, including some of the best roti pratas in Singapore. Its most famous joint is the 24-hour Thasevi Food.
