In 2012, I visited Changdeokgung Palace Complex in Seoul. In 2014, Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple in North Gyeongsang Province. And in 2016, I managed to visit four: Jongmyo Shrine in Seoul, two of the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty in Seoul, Hwaseong Fortress in Gyeonggi Province, and Haeinsa Temple Janggyeong Panjeon in South Gyeongsang Province. (Update: In 2018, I visited Seongsan Ilchulbong and Halla Mountain, which are World Heritage Sites under the Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes group; and also the Gyeongju Historic Areas and Gyeongju Yangdong Historic Village.)
Directions to Jongmyo Shrine:Â Take subway line 1 to Jongno-3(sam)-ga Station, exit 11. Or subway line 2 or 5 to Jongno-3(sam)-ga Station, exit 8. Jongmyo Shrine is a 10-minute walk from any of the three options. ...... (follow the instructions below for accessing the rest of this article).
